Odin Education is leading South Africa’s journey into the future with its dynamic “Just pl.ai” half-day workshop series, designed to equip business professionals with practical knowledge and skills to thrive in an AI-driven world.
Masterminded and facilitated by Ajit Gopalakrishnan, Head of Odin Education, the workshop demystifies Artificial Intelligence and translates complex technological concepts into accessible tools for everyday work life. Whether executives, marketers, managers, salespeople, or personal assistants, participants gain hands-on experience with the latest AI productivity tools and an understanding of how to incorporate these innovations into their workflows.
“Artificial Intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept—it is transforming our daily lives and work environments,” says Gopalakrishnan. “Understanding AI is now essential for anyone who wants to stay relevant and competitive. Our workshop is a gateway for participants to harness this powerful technology.”
The comprehensive course is modular, comprising four engaging sessions. The journey begins with understanding AI’s evolution, the different types of AI, and insights into Large Language Models like GPT. Participants then dive into hands-on training with cutting-edge tools such as Perplexity.ai, Claude.ai, Loveable, Hume, Deep Search, and ChatGPTZero.
The practical workshops continue with configuring AI note-taking using MeetGeek, generating voice-overs with Altered, and exploring AI-supported study methods with ChatPDF and data analytics using Julius.ai. The final session covers emerging risks, ethical considerations, and alignment challenges posed by new AI technologies.
One unique aspect of the “Just pl.ai” workshops is that 100% of the fees generated go directly to the Omang Foundation, a registered non-profit under Odin Education. The Foundation supports cutting-edge educational technology deployment in underprivileged South African communities, making these workshops contributions to a larger societal mission.
Ajit’s commitment goes beyond leadership, his background spanning engineering, marketing, and education fuels a relentless passion for democratising educational opportunities. His goal is that every child, regardless of background, benefits from technology’s transformative power.
“The first job AI replaced is that of a futurist—seriously, no one really knows what’s coming!” Ajit reflects. “But what I know for certain is this: equipping people today with AI skills and awareness will shape a more inclusive, innovative tomorrow.”
Since inception, the “Just pl.ai” workshops have helped hundreds of professionals develop critical digital literacy skills, enhancing productivity and fostering innovation across industries. The programme’s blend of practical tools, deep insights, and community impact make it uniquely South African—and future-fit.
